Overview for wordpress

Content versus Data (and Context)

Today the world has evermore information created and consumed each passing day. Not only is content creation using tools like Instagram, YouTube and others booming, but we're also collecting more and more data using sensors in our smartphones, cars and what not. So what is the relation of these two, content and data?

Leirillä tyhmyys tiivistyy

Kävin vuonna 2015 eri julkaisujärjestelmään keskittyneessä tapahtumassa: toukokuussa WordCamp Finlandissa, elokuussa eZ Summer Campissa ja syyskuussa DrupalConissa ja kaiken kukkuraksi vielä DrupalCampissa.

What's on the Menu, Symfony?

Menus are a vital part of any web application or a website. Content Management Systems are traditionally a strong contender in this field as they are at their core just tools to create navigatable views to a pool of content. Your CMS REST API should be WordPress Compatible

The current world of computing owes a lot to Microsoft. They made a bold bet on the value of software over hardware over 30 years ago. The legacy of this carries on today with commodity hardware, but software itself has also largely become a commodity with Open Source.

Yet there is still something we could learn from IBM PC Compatible clones at this time of "decoupling" content management. The focus remains in breaking up Open Source products to pieces and then gluing those bits together with a specific type of REST glue.

Technology Does Not Matter

I've had the privilege of attending some great events this year: WordCamp, PHP / eZ Publish Summer Camp and finally DrupalCon. These were all great experiences for a professional working with Web Content Management, but the most food for thought came from a much more modest event: A two hour breakfast seminar titled "The right content for the right context".
