Overview for
business
Open Source Software is often heralded as a friendly community all working happily together for a common good. In reality many successful projects start as a such a labour of love, but as they grow in popularity things can quickly get out of hand while other people build businesses upon your voluntary work.

I've had the privilege of attending some great events this year: WordCamp, PHP / eZ Publish Summer Camp and finally DrupalCon. These were all great experiences for a professional working with Web Content Management, but the most food for thought came from a much more modest event: A two hour breakfast seminar titled "The right content for the right context".
I wrote about legacy and developers earlier today. I accidentally ended up having this pairing of words on there: Corporate Legacy
That's a pair that devs loathe by nature, but it made me think. Where was I coming from and what kind of legacy have I left? In this short time scale technology evolves, but humans don't. Certain patterns repeat.
