Random things on PHP, Symfony and web development
With the summer coming to an end there is increasing activity in the Symfony community in the form of bundles. Recently four interesting Symfony bundles have had interesting status updates: EasyLogHandler, eZ Migration Bundle, Netgen Layouts and Sylius.
The Sylius Flow Bundle is a way of chaining together a series of actions to form custom eCommerce checkout processes or installation wizards commonly used for installing CMSes, for example.
Symfony is a stable and proven platform for creating web applications of all kinds. The roadmap and support for LTS releases is exemplary. This is one of the key things companies should consider when building an online service for the long term. The credibility of an eCommerce merchant hinges on it's reliability.
eZ Publish Summer Camp and PHP Summer Camp are a joint event held in Croatia at the end of August (26. - 29.8.2015). There will be excellent professionals (and me) holding hands-on workshops about all things PHP, eCommerce, Content Management and whatnot.
